Highland Embers began in the kitchen of their great grandmother Lillian, where she cooked with the quiet certainty that food should be shared. Her recipe became part of the rhythm of family life. Brandon learned it from her grandmother, carried it forward with care and made it for anyone who asked. It became the flavour her children knew from childhood and the bottle that travelled to picnics, gatherings and celebrations.

All 3 of Lillian’s great grand children grew up with Highland Embers on the table in every season of the year. They shared it with friends, brought it into their own homes and watched how it turned simple meals into something special. They understood that this recipe held the memory of the people who came before them and reflected the way their family welcomed others with warmth.

Glen Willden was created to honour that heritage. It protects the traditions that shaped their upbringing while offering something crafted for the present day. Each bottle is made with respect for the land, the ingredients and the values that guided Lillian in her kitchen. Wherever possible, ingredients are sourced locally to reflect the character of Scotland and to support the growers and producers who share the same commitment to quality. Sustainability guides every decision, from the ingredients chosen to the materials used in packaging, ensuring that the care shown in the kitchen extends to the world around it.
